Making A Red-Eyed Tree Frog Talk by Nana

When we were learning about the rainforest we thought of recording ourselves talking about the rainforest animal but making the animal speak. We used an app called Chatterpix.

I did a red-eyed tree frog and made it speak in my voice. It was really funny.

Year 1 and 2 visit Marwell Zoo

For part of our Rainforest topic, KS1 visited Marwell Zoo. We were very lucky that we didn't get rained on all day. The afternoon was very wet, but we still got to visit some animals in the afternoon, despite the rain!

The Tropical House was very fun to explore. It was so warm like the real rainforest. Some of us managed to spot the sloth but he was very, very sleepy. We got to see some really unusual animals in the Tropical House.

Look at Finn having a rest there! There was a lot of walking to be done...

In Science, we have been looking at how plants adapt to the rainforest environment. Isabel found a drip trip on a plant and pointed it out to us!

Thank you to all of the children for their wonderful behaviour and to our fantastic helpers too.
