Diwali

On a Thursday afternoon we like to get creative with DT/Art!

Last week we had a Diwali themed arts and craft session. 

We:

• coloured some Rangoli patterns- the colourful design made on the floor near the entrance of the house to welcome guests. Hindus draw bright Rangoli patterns to encourage the Goddess Lakshmi into their homes.
• made Diwali footprints, Hindus clean and decorate their house and then show Lakshmi's arrival into the home with footprints.
• made Diwali Diva lamps which signify the lamps put out to show Rama and Sita the way home.
