Aboriginal Art from Australia

As part of our topic All Around The World, we will be looking at Art from different countries. This afternoon, we looked at Aboriginal Art from Australia.

We looked at how the artists used symbols in order to communicate. Many of our classes noticed how the paintings were made up of dots. We learnt that Aboriginals often used natural materials around them to paint-like bark, sticks and rocks.

We used the end of a paintbrush to form our dots. Our phase spent so much time on their painting. The artwork produced is incredibly impressive!

Well done to Year 1 and 2!
