Practical fun in Maths

Over the past 2 weeks, we have been very busy in Maths. We have been looking at shapes and at measures. 

Year 1 have been using playdough to explore 2D shapes. It's been so much fun!

This week in Maths, we have been learning to measure in centimetres using rulers. We went outside to see what we could measure.

We have talked about using the words tallest, smallest, longest, shortest to compare items to one another. Year 1 have been using cubes to measure objects. They have been using the mathematical words to describe what they have been measuring.

Our Maths work has been very practical. Everyone has been working very hard!
