For the past few weeks, we have been practising our coordination and floor movement skills. We have been playing games, singing songs and reading stories to help us get excited about our movements. We have been particularly enjoying The Birthday Bike Surprise. Here are just a few examples of what we get up to in our P.E. sessions on a Wednesday morning!
A warm up game-
We had to make a figure of 8 around ourselves and then our partners.
We then practised our floor movement skills as demonstrated wonderfully by Carys and Mackenzie! The children had to side-step, gallop, skip, hop and if they could.... hopscotch!
All of our Phase have been working so hard on their teamwork. Miss Moffat is very proud of how well they are working together in P.E.
We then had a game of our favourite game 'Off For A Ride'. The children have to carefully listen to the commands of 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear and 4th gear. They know the skills they have to demonstrate for these instructions. Miss Moffat likes to throw in some challenges so sometimes the children get a flat tyre, a narrow road and even have to tackle a roundabout!

The children have been thoroughly enjoying their P.E. sessions. It's lovely to see their skills develop and them learn to work together as a team. Keep it up, Key Stage 1!
