Science fun!

We have been learning about forces in Science this half term.

First of all, we explored whether it was easier to push 1, 2 or 3 people on a bike.

It was lots of fun. We found out that it was trickier to push 3 people on a bike as it was heavier!

Last week, we had some fun with eggs (and tomatoes!) Miss Moffat told us that we needed to design protection for the egg and the tomato. We needed to give the egg and tomato protection because we were going to drop them! The winning team would be children that designed protection for the food that stopped it from breaking when dropped.

We did have a lot of broken egg but a few teams succeeded in their eggy mission! We learnt that we had to reduce the impact of the egg hitting the floor by padding out the area around the egg. The egg mustn't be at the bottom or it would hit the ground and break without any protection!
