Park Survey

This week we took a walk to the park to have a look at what was on offer for children in Hythe. We wrapped up warm. As you can see from some of the pictures... it was a rather frosty morning!

We had a careful think about the equipment that was there. We thought about the shapes that we could see. It was then important for us to look at the materials that the play equipment was made out of. We even looked to see how parts joined together.

The reason we did this was because we are going to design our own park as part of our Design Technology topic. As soon as we got back, we designed our own parks thinking about the improvements we would make. The children have come up with some fantastic ideas which we can't wait to try out later this term!

Of course, we couldn't go to the park and not have a little test of the equipment!
